Still here…just recovering!

November 6, 2009

Hello friends!

Just waiting for my coffee to drip and listening to the gentle hum of the dryer; there is a distinct remaining aroma of bonfires and fireworks left in the air from our ‘Guy Fawkes Night’ celebrations last night!

Just popping on to say I am still here – just recovering from a long weekend in Texas where hubby, Micah and I attended the ‘Semper Reformanda’ conference hosted by Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas. We stayed with our precious friends, sucked every moment out of our time with them and longed for more but REALLY missed our two little ones who we’d left back here having fun in Yorkshire with Grandma and Grandad.

Got lots to do at home, children to cuddle, thoughts to ponder and a list as long as my arm of jobs to get on top of so when time permits I will return (hopefully at the weekend) with a full catch up of life in our home.

Many blessings to you and yours
Leah

I'm so encouraged that you've been to this – I follow your blog often and didn't realise you are of "reformed" persuasion! Those doctrines of Grace are so wonderful. Sola Scriptura!!

Hi Wendy – thanks for your comment; we're on a great journey as a family but not quite at any final conclusions as yet. The conference came in the midst of this adventure and we felt inspired and envisioned by the Word and the amazing families we met. Bless you!

Oh there's so much stuff I could point you in the direction of but it's your journey and I wish you well on it. I spent 15 years in the charismatic churches but haven't found anything as satisfying and authentic as the doctrines of grace. I never knew that until the 1960's that was mainstream!! The metropolitan tabernacle in London is a great place to start exploring – especially the sermon downloads.lots of blessings,Wendy
