Ripples of Life!

March 23, 2010
“Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.”
Psalm 145:4

Everything we do or say makes a difference
Words have power
Actions go far
Attitudes bruise

The drip, drip, drip of rebellion in our hearts
The splosh of disrespect towards our husband
The plop of our irritable manner towards our children
…and the ripples begin

but wait

I see another pond; glistening in the sunlight – it’s full of life, growth and colour
It’s your home
It’s your life
It’s your legacy

Poured out from a generous mothers heart
Pebbles of love, hope, peace
Rocks of truth
Flooded with the water of The Word

Let the ripples begin
One generation to another
This is my great call
This is my mission
This is my joy

Thank you, yes I wrote it – I've been pondering the image of ripples in the water for a while and how it is a beautiful picture of multi-generational faithfulness.

Lovely and piercing at the same time. How easily we forget that each action, word and attitude has an impact.Found my way here via Amy @ Arrows.
