Shaking off the Winter!

April 12, 2010
Boys and bricks!

It’s Monday morning, the house is still sleeping and I managed to creep downstairs without disturbing the sweet slumber. I love early morning in the spring time, I can hear the birds busily at work chirping to each other, a perfect new day that God has made for us to enjoy.

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
Lamentations 3: 22-23

This weekend I’ve had chance to dig, plant and potter in my little garden – I love seeing it spring into life, shaking off the winter and allowing new growth to be seen, beautiful tiny buds full of hope and promise, green leaves soaking in fresh water, spring flowers decorating this old winter palate.

And here we are, a new day, a new season – buds appearing, full of hope and promise.

Have you shaken off winter yet?

God is wooing us, loving us and drawing us to allowing Him to breathe new life upon all that he has placed within us, watering us with his love and mercy, bringing colour and growth.

Take off the dead leaves, dig over the dry soil and allow LIFE to come forth

The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.

Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.

The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

Song of Songs 2: 11 – 13

Man work; teaching, training, talking – decorating!
Pretty flowers, pretty Nyah

OH so cute!

Be refreshed today precious mothers, shake off the winter allow God to do His wonderful work in this season.

Be blessed
