Clean up and carry on!

January 2, 2012

“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

1 Corinthian 10:31

It’s with bitter sweet feelings that we leave this holiday period and slowly re-enter ‘reality’ – today is a bank holiday here in the UK, life is still at a slow pace, people are not quite back to work yet and it’s a great opportunity to do that big clean up after the festivities!

I love getting back into routine, cleaning away Christmas for another 11 months and wondering who on earth is going to eat all the left over treats (not me of course!), but today is our last day before Dave has to go back to work (sigh), it’s such a treat having him at home but we might just let him out the door tomorrow!

This Christmas we took on a few home decorating projects as well as having builders in and out of the house completing the building of our outdoor school/play cabin (photo’s to come) so it has been pretty hectic to say the least; scraping, clearing, painting, plastering have been a pretty major part of our festivities, but all worth it! There is still work to be done, skips to be collected, building materials gracing our back yard but today my focus is bringing peace and order to the little rooms in my home; to the laundry pile, the loo (bathroom!) and my bedroom most definitely needs loving!
So in between nursing a baby, feeding my family, keeping the kiddies out of the sweetie tin (!) I’ll be glorying in the mundane and doing it for the glory of the King!
Tomorrow we’ll talk home school prep…
Many blessings from our home to yours.
