Mama kissing Sienna-Raine

Welcome to ‘Home Grown Babies’; my name is Leah! I’m a Yorkshire girl living in the city of Coventry (UK) but clinging onto my Yorkshire roots by consuming lots of Yorkshire tea! I’ve been married 11 years to my prince and we have been blessed with six children; Nyah Bethia (9), Joel Benjamin (7) Micah Hudson (3), Sienna-Raine Hope (11 months) and two babies that began life in my womb but are now in the arms of Jesus.

I am passionate about serving Jesus; I love the Bible and live everyday by His amazing grace; showering in His mercies every morning. I am passionate about my husband; helping him to be all that God has called him to be – from folding his socks to listening to his preaches before everyone else does!! I am passionate about my children; raising warriors for the Kingdom of God – unstoppable men and women who serve King Jesus wholeheartedly, love His people and each other. I am passionate about my home *becoming* (learning every day!) a haven of peace, learning, industry and memories for my husband, our children and our community; not quite the domestic goddess but a wonderful work of grace in progress!

I am passionate about women; young and old, living in wholeness and freedom; I am committed to speaking into, mentoring, discipling and encouraging many beautiful daughters of God who have and will cross my path in different seasons of my life.

I love learning, changing and being challenged; I find people and their lives so fascinating; speaks of the amazing creativity of God.

I love (in no particular order) gingham, fresh flowers in a vase, holding my husband’s hand, good coffee, the smell of a cinnamon candle burning in the evening, reading reading reading, family movie night, being pregnant, my slow cooker, singing, being the first one up, Yorkshire tea, Earl grey tea, Lady grey tea, wind chimes, hot chocolate after a winter walk, my children’s faces first thing in the morning, …to name a few.

I’m into all things at home; home school and homebirth as well as cloth nappies, breastfeeding, baby wearing, baby signing; children’s books…

In March 2011 Dave and I pioneered a new church expression into our local community; learning to pioneer and pastor together has been and continues to be a great adventure!

This blog will reveal snippets of the grace of God in my life as wife, Mum and homemaker – I have by no means got all the answers, ‘got it all in order’ or claim to be an expert in any of the areas I will post about but merely feel inspired to write, to remember, to encourage, to provoke, to love…and if you pop by please let me know by leaving a comment.

Blessings
Leah

Example: @HGbabies are having a #homegrownmoment; fresh bread in oven, DD1 making banana cake, baby sleeping, boys playing science game #blessed
